Here at Claytor, we engage our community in enjoying, appreciating, and studying natural habitats to promote the well-being of all people and the environment. Membership support helps us advance this mission. By joining the Claytor Community, you will be supporting environmental education for youth, public lectures from experts, art exhibits, expanded programming, and research that will improve the health of our region for years to come.
The 491-acre center was preserved through the vision and generosity of the late A. Boyd Claytor III and serves the University of Lynchburg and the broader community as an education and research center for environmental study. Claytor is an outdoor learning lab for youth around the region, supporting land stewardship and conservation and helping researchers answer important environmental questions.
Now, you and your family can join Claytor as members and create unforgettable memories as you escape to the outdoors. To put it simply: the Claytor Community is a gateway to adventure.
